Wonderlust
"The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To talk of many things:
Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--Of cabbages--and kings
And why the sea is boiling hot
And whether pigs have wings."
Have you ever thought about your thoughts?
The way that you think. How you think of things. The space in your mind.
Humans have an unlimited memory and creativity.
When you dream and you are in it do you see yourself from above, behind, front or first hand?
Do you dream and think in images or words?
Do you have ambition to fulfil your wildest dreams?
Only you can make them come true.
"I can show you the world
Shining, shimmering, splendid
Tell me, princess, now when did
You last let your heart decide?"

The Hanging Gardens of Babylon.
The seven wonders of the world. Your imagination is one of them.
What we do and what we see.
"I can open your eyes
Take you wonder by wonder
Unbelievable sights
Indescribable feeling
Don't you dare close your eyes"
What's on your bucket list?
The Taj Mahal
Who wouldn't want to live here.
"A hundred thousand things to see
Hold your breath - it gets better
Every turn a surprise
With new horizons to pursue"
The Great Wall Of China
A hike for some.
A cultural experience of history.
A catwalk for the extreme model.
I believe there is art in everything.
There is creativity all around us.
Take your time to look at the expressions of beauty
Be your own Niagra Falls
Fulfil your creative needs...
Dance on the ceiling.
Write a book.
Draw a picture.
Experience different cultures.
Express through fashion.
Create what is great.
See the world.

"Turtle Doves"
"Love and marriage, go together like a horse and carriage."
So 12.12.12 I got engaged...Wedding planning has commenced.
Eeeeeek. The excitement cannot be contained.
So here's a little picture flicking ideas for all you brides and grooms.

"Kiss me out of the bearded barley
Nightly, beside the green, green grass
Swing, swing, swing the spinning step
You wear those shoes and I will wear that dress."
Caaaakee. Wow. The amounts of cakes I have seen and tasted have been mind blowing. I need to stop before I won't fit into my dress.
"kiss me beneath the milky twilight"
"Lead me out on the moonlit floor
Lift your open hand
Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance
Silver moon's sparkling"
Veil, tiaras, flowers, diamonds.
Up, down. Choices choices. Get as many opinions as you can and try everything on! Make it flatter your face and show all your beautiful elements.
Memories.
A way to remember the only day you can dress like this.
Well that is unless you are a princess or just a bit glamorous.
Keep a little photo montage of your sexy self on this love day
Ring ring.
Personally I'm going for a ring more costing more than anything else in this wedding. Because its something that will be worn everyday. Forever.
Unlike a dress worn once. Unless you clean your house in it.

Short and sweet or full town turn out.

DRNEXTGEN
Thursday 21st March
Drapers Next Generation Academy 2013
What a day! Filled with many guest speakers and alot of insightful stories, inspiration and advice of how to further your career and about different companies.
Andy Rubin, CEO Pentland Brands
Wow! by the end of this presentation everyone in the room wanted to work for Pentland Brands.
A global business in over 195 countries specialising in sports and outdoor products. Some of you may never have heard of Pentland brands however you will have heard of them.. Lacoste, Speedo, Hunter to say a few.
"A brand is more than a logo, it is an emotional set of values in the mind of the consumer."
Andy gave a great talk on the growth of the fashion industry and economies. Discussing sustainability, omni-channel and globalisation. The future is in the BRIC economies.
Michael Sharp, CEO, Debenhams
"Be the best of what you do at the moment, not whats next"
-great advice, people are always thinking about what job move they are going to make next and start to slack in what they are currently doing.
But the only way to rise is to be the best at what you currently do.
Debenham's internationalisation processes consists of long term growth strategies, by using partnerships to gain local market knowledge and experience with franchise stores to keep risks low to ensure a successful process.
Dan Lumb, E-commerce Director, Reiss
Seasonality has disappeared from e-commerce according to Dan Lumb. E-commerce for Reiss is about' buy now wear now'. To be able to sell a dress in snowy weather.
Simon Burstein, CEO, Browns
What a man. Browns ethos..
'Buying the best of the best, buying what you believe in.'
Speaks exactly my reasoning for purchasing designer brands and products.
Paul Marchant, CEO, Primark
The Q&A with Paul gave alot of insight into the operations of Primark. Primark is a company that is very much like Marmite, you either love it or you hate it. Now I'm going to tell you the truth. I never buy anything from Primark. I am a designer abuser. But the operations of Primark as a company are very interesting. The company runs on an ethos of keeping costs and overheads low with thin margins.
Primark currently does not facilitate online trading as they focus on the retail outlet as their main strategy. As their company structure of keeping costs low does not match with e-commerce as it is expensive and their products have low costs, therefore it would cost more to send out and take in returns. However we may see the Primarni e-commerce come into action soon as it has not been stricken off.
Primark rarely use advertising as they believe the strongest form is Word of Mouth. They have come a long way since their ethical issue scandals a few years ago, they joined the ETI four years ago and now appear in the top 2. The company own freeholds to all their premises and have no joint ventures ..yet.
'You can only take a brand as far as you can control is, stop before you trip over'.
Paul stated that the "Death of the high street' is an over-exaggeration. Fashion players have simply evolved and are evolving."
Julie Dean, Founder, Cambridge Satchel Company
What a story. The face of Google Chrome. Starting in her kitchen with only £600 and now turning over a profit of over £15million per year. Inspired to put her children into private schools. A very organic company.
Julie Dean is an inspiration to many aspiring entrepreneurs. You can do it. Set some goals, a plan and put it into action.
Dream, Aim, Achieve.
There is so much more I would tell you from this event, but you know what..
2014.. Get yourself to this event, once in a lifetime opportunity.

Beneath The Make-Up and Behind The Smile.
Everyone has a style icon.
Icons are great to be inspired by or aspire to.
Modern, classic, quirky, unknown, beyond famous.
Anyone or anything could be an icon.
Lets talk about the greats.
....
Audrey Hepburn
How could anyone not want to be her, Breakfast At Tiffanys anyone?
“The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul"
Sabrina, My fair lady.
“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”
....
Madonna
Material Girl, Strike a Pose. Vogue.Vogue.
Zsa Zsa Gabor
"I have never hated a man enough to give him his diamonds back"
Lady Gaga
This woman has revolutionised the fashion industry, inspiring people to express themselves through their clothes. She has caused controversial debates with some of her items:
The meat dress, the Kermit the frog outfit, the naked ones the list goes on.
Although some of these may seem slightly OTT, she is brave. You may think that some are just publicity stunts, outrageous, stupid, amazing, inspiring. Whatever it is. She has done alot for the fashion industry allowing designers to get very creative making fashion an art form again.
Elizabeth Taylor
"Big girls need big diamonds"
Karl Lagerfeld & Victoria Beckham
She cant concentrate in flat shoes and he manages to pull off female trousers to prove a point.
"One is never over dressed or under-dressed with a little black dress."
I do love Victoria Beckham but only her recent years of fashion and style. Prior to 2008 her style was not impressive. Now it is gorgeous with geometric shapes, modern classic twists.
....
Marilyn Monroe
“This life is what you make it. No matter what, you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you're going to mess it up. So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about.”
"If your going to be two-faced, at least make one of them pretty"
Real curves that would make a pear jealous.
I'm a proud beauty mark holder myself. Embrace them.

'Is there a GAP in your life?'
G A P
St Ann's Street

Today I went into GAP on St Ann's street. The one next to Frankie & Bennys.
Yeah you know the one. Or if you didn't ...You do now.
Thought I'd share my little shopping trip with you all. I heard that their new S/S 13 collection had arrived. I am loving all the trends that are coming out for this season.
GAP's take on these trends are raring to take your wardrobe to the next level. So I definitely recommend you take a look, they have some great offers on too.
Firstly I LOVE Blazers. These academy blazers are very chic. Starting at around £24 to £54.95. Personally I think it's a great buy and a Key Wardrobe Item. Comes in different styles, colours and prints. Goes with everything! Love the White one.
Would look amazing with skinny jeans and black stilettos.
Okay so how adorable are these!
The kidswear in Baby Gap are too cute.
Why weren't kids clothes this cute when I was a little Lipstick?!
Pastel colours, neon. All on trend and as soft as a feather.
CUUUUUUTEEEE.

The Easter collection is in-store now, so if you have any Easter parties coming up or you just dress your children very well I suggest Gap.
You. Will. Want. Everything.

GAP is known for good Denim products.
Different styles that they offer will flatter any shape and size.

Body sculptors, high rise, low rise, boyfriend fit.
They have it all.
Okay so if you're into the Neon and Pastel trends or you love Skinny Skimmer jeans.
These are a must have.
I love the lemon shade.
Neons & Pastels are a big trend this season.
I love them paired up!
The website offers alot of style inspiration so if you like the colours but aren't sure how you would wear them..The website and in-store merchandising will show you quick and easy ways that you can pull these trends off.
The menswear provides every staple item a man needs.
Too much for me to even put on this blog.
If you haven't been to Gap before go to the St Ann's Street store in Manchester.
The staff there are very friendly and welcoming.
Fill that GAP in your wardrobe.
Express yourself. Get amongst it. Get involved.

"Street lights, big dreams, all lookin' pretty"
These are a few of my favourite things.. This week. Really makes me think of GAGA. GlamTan. Dr Sunnies. Chunky Jewels.
OHHH how I want this outfit !!! YSL S13. I would wear this EVERYWHERE!
I would feel like a cross between Zoro and a bad ass businesswoman with amazing style.
Black works well for everything. The colour can sex up any look. Classic and modern.
I love this embellishment. Classy and Chic.
To be honest Im not really a fan of this cream quilted Chanel clutch... I like the knickers more.
Masquerade. I feel this always creates abit of inspiration for outfits, make up and accessories.
We all know we would love any excuse to wear a cheeky masquerade ball mask. It's the essence of mystery.

For those who like to make an impact.I think this would look great with a sheer blouse.
I have a strong love for eyebrows. In particular defined eyebrows. Not the scouse brow. But defined.
If you can pull it off... DO IT. It's fit.
Recently I have been really experimenting with petal, rainbow and skittle lips. Toning and shading with lipliners and lipsticks to create a blend and fade effect.
Can be worn night and day, depending on the tones you use. I just go for any though..
50 Shades of Lipstick...literally.
Even if your outfit doesn't match or your make up is really eccentric or people stare, just think...

Nothing but words and inspiration.
"If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it."
Positive. Open. Mindset.
Im all for keeping positive.
Bucket lists and motivational inspiration.
Here are my top 10 tips:
1. Don't Watch the News. It is full of negativity! Depressing, negative news about how awful people can be in the world. Keep away from this. Find another way to find out daily news. And if it doesn't look happy don't read it.
2. Smile as much as possible. Yes I know this is an obvious one. But smiles are infectious. Also it makes people look more attractive and relieves stress... And this picture always cheers me up if I'm sad.
3. Do something you are good at every day. Whatever it is...Yes even that. Reminding yourself of your strengths will increase your confidence. Do something that excites and inspires you.
4. Sunshine is a known fact of making people happy, so when its out Embrace it! It produces life, light and vitamins and a nice little tan.
5. Beauty magazines may make you feel insecure or even ugly. So do what Baz says, dont read them. It's all airbrush and seriously unhealthy people.
Don't watch scary movies. Who even thinks of those story lines and the 'based on a true story' ones well... just says alot about the world. Whole lot of negativity going on there. It may be fun to squeeze someones hand and jump in their arms but really??
6. Friends will come and go. True friendship will be shown through many occasions and hard times. Surround yourself with people who will build you up, bring out your strengths and improve your weaknesses, even if it would be easy for them to tear you down.
"What Susie says of Sally, says more of Susie than Sally"
7. Believe in yourself and all that you are.
8. The happiest people don't have the best of everything but they make the best of everything they have.
9. Just because something isn't happening for you right now, doesn't mean it never will.
10. Remember, be grateful for every little thing you have.
"Things don't happen for a reason, they happen for a purpose"-
I lived by "Everything happens for a reason" then I found out, it all has a purpose.
"Don't worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum. "
Do you really want to live forever?
FOREVER YOUNG
The race is long, and in the end, it's only with yourself.

”A well-tied tie is the first serious step in life.”
- Oscar Wilde
Also I personally LOVE Scott Disick's fashion style. Especially his accessories such as canes, cravats and sweaters. Im not saying he is a good looking person, what I am saying is .. his fashion style sense is right up my alley.
Enough of Lord Disick now...
SS13 Sees Sleeveless...
However there is a new
fashion tragedy coming in for ss13....
What. Is. This!? SIMPLY NO never. this is not fit.GROSS. LOVE LOVE Tonal dressing.Different tones of one colour. Pretty simple. Probably works really well if you have a strong love for one colour.

Are you still feeling the
'Bed Head' hair too? I am. Not going to lie. I think its fierce.
Dapper shine.

I really appreciate Prince's style back in his prime. Nowadays everyones gone abit Lady Gaga on us and wear things that just aren't possible for us to copy on a day to day basis. How can you be a style icon if people can't copy it.

Be Curious Not Judgemental
There are certain shades of limelight that can wreck a girl's complexion.
Hitting two topics todayIm feeling that many people went out for a meal to celebrate some romance or the bromance of friendship in the past week. So heres some future advice on dining out.
Im all for women to EAT. Seriously I think it's a really big cringe when a bloke eats a decent sized meal and then a woman orders a pathetic cracker with a pea.
However Less is more so leave room for desert as we all know desert can be sexy. Also no one likes someone who peaks too early.
Seriously think about what you're going to order though.
Avoid anything slurpy like soup- What a turn off.
Spaghetti- Its NOT sexy, as some might suggest..Nothing worse than a spaghetti strand slapping to your chin and the sauce leaving a stain.
Banana's-Well all we can say here is double entendre. Either it will look really impressive or just a story that will be told to all his friends.. Not for good reasons.Obvious ones like garlic, snails, anything bloody-You are not a vampire nor are you starring in Twilight.
Oysters are not the food of love-Flying issues here. Slippery buggers.
Corn on the cob-first off theres the whole conversation of how it doesn't digest which is a major mood killer. Then there the butter splatters all over your face, the bits that get stuck in your teeth. JUST DONT DO IT.
And please try not to choke on cherries.
Now onto the underlying topic...UNDERWEAR
So theres been a shift in boxers the 'in' brand is AussieBum. Calvin Kliens are still about. However it seems AussieBum is the new must have boxer brand.Baggy or Tight?Briefs, boxers, jockstraps, trunks, Y-Fronts?This is my further investigation.
I have asked many men and women on the quest to see what they were wearing.
Women's appear to be very mixed from Marks & Spencer to Agent Provocateur. Lets be honest... majority of us do well to colour match our underwear everyday. But its rare many people wear true matching underwear sets everyday. True matters of comfort here.
From Thongs, knickers, hold-ups, G-Strings, balconettes to crotchless...
...
The Underwear Talk ..
..To Be Continued...

"Baby If You Want Me, You Got To Show Me Love"
Today I am turning into Laura Lipstick Love Lieutenant
Take notes lovers.
Fall in Love not in line.
Firstly some ways to make the first move on a certain someone:
Theres no time like the present, Life is Short.
"A life without Love, is no life at all."
Firstly remember there are no rules on who needs to make the first move. It's the 21st century people.
Just Do It! You could text, email or tweet the person if you are shy, that is if you already have a connection with the person.
If there has been only eye contact its time to gets some balls and just go over and speak to the person.
Or you could just pretend to bump into the person, make coy hints and just be all 'anti-love day' and go on a non-date but really it's a date to boycott the whole event, but then really you both realise you love the love fest and end up like this.....
The Big Three Words. Are you ready to say it?
Usually this is a big thing in relationships, some say it 'too early' but is there ever really a certain time allowance until you can say it? I don't really think so. If you feel it you feel it.
Like I said .. Life is Short.
If you can feel the love, you can feel it in your fingers and in your bones.
However if you aren't ready to say it, don't feel pressured. Just say how you feel.
Honesty is always the best.
Big difference between the silent love of friendship or even the BFF's that proudly show the love with a cheeky.. I love you man. ( Say that last bit in an American or Geordie accent.) Watch Stand By Me. Friends, BFF's, inseparables. Valentine's day is for all of you too. Friends stand by each other. A whole lotta Love going on right there.
Okay so lets talk about some one liners you should never fall for.
"Lets just be friends"= Who SAYS that stuff. Firstly this is near impossible if they have broken your heart. What a fool. Tell them to jog on. Get glammed up and for every day spent crying, three nights out are non negotiable. No second chances.
"It's not you, it's me." = They are desperate to just say..It's totally you. This deserves a high five in the face. With a door.
"I need to focus on my career." - Ever heard of "Living to work and working to live". Yes reassess your priorities.
"You deserve better than me." - Clearly they have done something wrong. Don't speak to this person again, they have blatantly met someone else.Jerk.
If the relationship is doubted once, the chances are that it will be doubted again.
Dont waste your time.
Being with no-one is better than being with the wrong one.
"Tis better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all"
Only forgive if they turn up in the rain, on a white horse, carrying a Tiffany's ring, ALOT of chocolate, tickets for a make up holiday preferably to somewhere expensive and hot.
At some point in your life, you will become away that some people will stay in your heart but not in your life.
You cant fly with broken wing and cant love with a broken heart. So MOVE ON.
Love is everywhere.

"I figure life's a gift and I don't intend on wasting it. You don't know what hand you're gonna get dealt next. You learn to take life as it comes at you... to make each day count."
"Flex your femininity with a colour collection that's fearless, elegant and strong. Strike a powerful pose, stand out, redefine the notion of beauty - and do it with strength too irresistible to ignore."

Hurrrrrr Day
Yesterday I went to James Roberts Hair & Beauty Salon in Deansgate, Manchester.Honestly an amazing place, great staff & atmosphere & unreaaaal head massages. I had a full head of highlights with a soft blow dry all by Anne-Marie. Such a sweet little boutique, friendly and inviting. I also used my Canal Street Card and received 20% off! Love it!
I love Moroccan Oils! I swear by it. It's fairly hard to keep up with Blonde hair, these oils keep my hair feeling so soft and in good conditions.
I later had dear little CaseyLacey play with my hair while updating the new website at 3am. Look at this amazing little braid technique following all the way around my hair! I actually love people playing with my hair. I could also never do this cute little trick myself either...

Look At The Stars
I used to always rely on my star sign to make decisions for me.
I was possibly the WORST decision maker you had met. I read my horoscope religiously every day. It had to always be Yahoo Shine Astrology too!
I went to uni and grew apart from this and became very independent. Recently I met a man who inspired me to look at the actual star sign meaning and personality traits.
The following information has all been pulled from various sources.
Generous and warmhearted
Creative and enthusiastic
Broad-minded and expansive
Faithful and loving
The lion, king of the animal
kingdom. With a majestic mane and powerful roar, it has an imposing presence and is of pure, royal blood. Leo defends its territory at all costs, protecting its family
, particularly its cubs! Brave in the face of adversity, Leo is class-conscious and makes sacrifices for friends and people he/she is responsible for. Many mythical figures are represented by the lion, which is as much a symbol of power and nobility as a symbol of blindness and tyranny. Leos have a sense of justice and can enlighten others through the force of their judgement. They see the bigger picture and are logical, with a sense of reality and a global vision that never gets bogged down in the details. Leos are assertive and witty.

On the dark side....
Pompous and patronizing
Bossy and interfering
Dogmatic and intolerant
While their symbolic expression is “I like”, they initially start with “I want” which implies “I will have”. Leos are ardent and passionate.
She has an instinctive need for admiration and always makes sure she looks her best. Despite her deep-rooted narcissism, she's a generous and loyal type you can count on.
She likes power, responsibility and action more than anything! She has many talents and could work in various sectors. Both men and women under this Sign struggle to find their path in life, and it isn’t easy when you’re blessed with so many talents! Commits herself fully to projects. Whatever she does, she makes an impact.
You’ll either love her or despise her; she’ll make a lot of people jealous and will be widely criticised throughout her life...something which she rarely notices, she's so caught up with herself and protected by her naivety!
