Loud Cabaret at Bury Met
Loud Cabaret is where it's at this spring at The Met in Bury! Kickstarting on 18 April at 8 PM, this new queer cabaret night promises to sprinkle some much-loved glitter across our community.
In partnership with Dibby Theatre, a standout LGBTQ+ touring company from Greater Manchester, the evening will come alive under the guidance of Nathaniel Hall, Dibby’s dynamic co-director and a familiar face from the hit Channel 4 drama "It's a Sin." Nathaniel’s infectious energy is perfect for amplifying the eclectic performances lined up for the night.
Get ready for Hunter Millington, a charismatic northern transgender artist and drag king, whose acts are as authentic as they are electrifying, delving deep into themes of identity and self-expression.
He's joined by Minute Taker, a singer-songwriter whose sounds are influenced by the likes of Kate Bush and the Pet Shop Boys. With three critically acclaimed albums under his belt, Minute Taker's soul-stirring melodies are sure to enchant everyone.
Also gracing the stage is Mandla Rae, a queer Zimbabwean writer and performer whose powerful narratives explore the intersections of life, identity, and art. Mandla’s moving performances offer a window into the life of a queer artist navigating a complex world.
