We at Canal St Media recently attended the latest meeting of the Village Action Forum organised by Carl Austin Behan which included representatives of various businesses and organisations, aswell as the GMP,Friends of Sackville Gardens, Friends of the Gay Village and other stakeholders.

We heard from GMP about the latest crime figures, including the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the recent attacks on Clone Zone, MORE HERE  aswell as some good news updates regarding work being undertaken to ensure the safety of visitors to the Gay Village.

Matters were raised and discussed around the issue of newly laid turf in Sackville Gardens and the impact on events like Sparkle - The National Transgender Charity and Manchester Pride moving forward.

Representatives from Manchester City Council were also engaged in discussion about various matters in their jurisdiction, inc the gardens.

It is our intention to update you following such meetings with the next one scheduled for February 2024.
