Canal Street Bars, Clubs and Venue Information
Located in the heart of Manchester, Canal Street is world famous for being a space that the LGBT community, and friends, can enjoy time in without prejudice of their chosen lifestyles.
It is a collection of over 40 venues, all within a 100 meters or so of its heart the Rochdale Canal. Everyone is welcome in the Gay Village, however you are asked to respect people that you meet and see in this space, a very reasonable request.
Most venues are open to everyone visiting Canal-St, however there are a few that do have stringent door policies, so do not be surprised if you are refused entry. All the bars have door staff and they operate a safe customer scheme as you will find in many cities.
