Happy Valley Pride 2023

Happy Valley Pride 2023

July 2023.

The team at Happy Valley Pride announce;

We’re back!

Pride returns this year to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community in Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd, Todmorden and throughout the happy valley and tickets have just gone one sale!

This week is an opportunity for us to celebrate all that can be accomplished through uplifting and supporting one another.

 At a time when they are in need of support we are celebrating some of the UK’s leading, alternative, drag kings and queens – Drag Race UK stars Ginny Lemon and Sister Sister will headline our free, Big Day Out in the park and performance legend David Hoyle takes the stage at The Trades Club along with future star Ginger Johnson.

The trans community are under increasing attacks so we are presenting FLUID – L with the T edition, with amazing lesbian and trans performers coming together in solidarity, curated by poet Clare Shaw and featuring our patron Jackie Kay.

We haven’t forgotten about fun – The Big Bingo Show takes over The Old Gate for a hilarious, free, interactive night out (dobbers at the ready). Lesbian icon Horse will perform a very special show, with string section, at Hope Baptist Church and in a worldwide premiere we are bringing together two LGBTQIA+ performance and clubbing legends for Duckie meets Cocoa Butter Club.

Each and every one of these artists and the amazing community they are here for, show all that can be accomplished when we stand together, support and love one another – Be Here, Be You, Be Proud!

PS Don't forget to check out our fabulous festival trailer on the homepage of the website and on our socials!
