Foodie Food

Created in 2021 by Aaron Dronsfield and Stephen Bradley, Foodie Food is an online contemporary food offering now taking orders across the city.  Catering for pizza and burger lovers (gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options available) the menu offers a cut above your standard take out quality. Neapolitan-style pizzas and juicy burgers lead the options available, all of which can be ordered through the usual online delivery platforms, or through the Foodie Food app, website or direct phone.

Canal St Media had an opportunity to try out the new food stars and see if they lived up to their claim of food delivered with passion. We sliced and shared to taste-test the Buttermilk Chicken, Double Beef and Double Beef and Cheese burgers; the ‘Nduja Foodie pizza; along with sides of Mac N Cheese Bites, Halloumi Fries and Jalapeño Poppers.

The bites were mini mouthfuls of cheesy pasta, the poppers oozed with a cheeky kick, and (my favourite) the golden halloumi had the generosity of a wedge more than a fry. The 12” hand-pulled and perfectly charred pizza-base was loaded with San Marzano tomato, Fior di Latte mozzarella, spicy ‘NDuja sausage, pepperoni picante and red onion, each mouthful packing a flavour punch; the buttermilk chicken was perfectly seasoned with an audibly crunchy coating. But our overall favourite was the double beef and cheese burger, layering 4 smashed patties with American cheese, Foodie burger sauce, iceberg lettuce, red onion and pickles. The patties were simply made but packed with flavour, complemented, but not lost amongst the other elements piled onto the brioche bun.

Competitively priced, with sides from £2.50, pizzas from £6.50 and burgers from £6.95, Aaron and Stephen prove they know about, and value, the quality, freshness and generosity of ingredients. We fully concur that Foodie Food offers a premium choice delivered with passion.
