National Coming Out Day

National Coming Out Day

National Coming Out Day is coming up fast on October 11th - and in Manchester there'll be a launch of a guide to help bi people.

It's the new edition of "Getting Bi In A Gay / Straight World".

Based on 25 years of what bi people want to know when they first contact bi support services like Manchester's BiPhoria, it's full of tips on coming out and staying out as bisexual - even when the people around you may want to put you into a straight or gay 'box'.

Author Jen Yockney MBE says, "This new edition is bigger than ever and has extensive rewrites to bring it up to date - with fresh advice about coming out, and with fresh links to finding support online.

"Thanks to donations to BiPhoria we have been able to print thousands of copies of this new edition to help bi people and those questioning their sexual orientation to find support."

20,000 print copies of Getting Bi have already found homes around the UK in addition to thousands more people reading it online.

The new edition is launched on Tuesday 8th October so it will be online in plenty of time for the 11th.
