Community action projects for the benefit of LGBTQ+ communities

LGBT Foundation and George House Trust are thrilled to announce that nine Greater Manchester-based organisations will be supported to run community action projects for the benefit of LGBTQ+ communities.

The Greater Manchester LGBTQ+ Community Fund is a joint initiative between two of the region’s leading community-led charities.

The projects receiving funds showcase the ingenuity of community groups in the region and their dedication to making long-lasting positive change.

Each group will receive a share of £20,000 to run activities that tackle widespread LGBTQ+ issues including transphobia and violence against trans and non-binary people, chronic social isolation of older people following lockdown, parenting, LGBTQ+ activism and campaigning, alongside artistic interventions that raise awareness around HIV stigma and homophobia.
