Strictly Gershwin

Strictly Gershwin

In these straightened times when all is doom and gloom and even the weather conspires to dampen our spirits!  Thank goodness for institutions like the English National Ballet.
The palace Theatre was packed last night with an audience who had their souls lifted and for a couple of hours at least found a metaphorical sun shining out from the stage!
The orchestra were too good to be hidden away in the pit and had found their way to the rear of the stage. Appropriate because they were one with the dancers and vocalist in giving the evening such a polished performance.

We were transported from Paris with an American to the Broadway Stage and on to Hollywood and it's silver screen.

An evening inspired by the music of George and Ira Gershwin and one which I wouldn’t have missed for the world. If there are any tickets left then my advice would be to pick one up and have yourself an evening to remember!
