Priscilla - Queen of the Desert

Priscilla - Queen of the Desert

The glamour bus that is Priscilla has come to town and bringing with her a huge dose of much needed sunshine. Duncan James leads a fantastic cast in this Australian classic tale of celebrating acceptance, love and above all disco.

A perfect prelude to Manchester Pride, the show takes us on a whistlestop tour of the story we all know so well with a ton of new numbers to sink your teeth into. Our trio of heroes are absolutely fabulous with Adam Bailey shining in every scene as the lovable Felicia and Simon Green as the viper tongued Bernadette but Duncan James smashed anyone’s preconceptions, ably tackling the lead character of Tick made famous by Hugo Weaving throwing himself into the role with vigour.

The crowd were jumping by the time they took their final bows and everyone left with a buzz and a smile on their face.Priscilla is at the Opera House until 29th August, definitely go if you can.
