Cirque du Ciels Shanghai

Cirque du Ciels Shanghai

The strength and athleticism of the Olympics combined with the style of a west end production and the precision timing of a Jubilee event. This spectacular extravaganza invokes the myths and culture of the Chinese with a mixture of poise and elegance in a fast moving performance. So much happens on stage that you could watch it afresh several times. The percussionist leading the music is a show in  himself.

Currently showing at The Opera House,Manchester, with superb costumes, sets and lighting, this stunning production showcases the skills of not only the performers but the world class team behind the scenes. In addition to traditional Chinese stunts such as the aerial silks, and the famous Monkey Poles, Cirque Du Ciel's Shanghi also features a fabulous storyline which will captivate and enthral audiences of all ages.

Audience favourites include the mast acrobats and the street culture kids but I clapped so much I had sore hands by the end. A definite must see.

The show continues tonight and then moves on.. For details.
