The Alchemist Manchester
Spinningfields Alchemist has had a refit. Here is what we thought.
Its always an event when Living Ventures announce a new venue or in this case a refurbished, expanded one.
Iconic brand The Alchemist has from day one been a tremendous hit, with the Spinningfields location immediately establishing itself as one of the Manchester's 'must visit'venues, especially when the sun shines.
No surprise then that the expansion into the former All Saints site, has provided extra covers inside aswell as outside along the entire length of its premises.
A warm welcome greeted us and escorted us to our table where we were quickly settled and drinks organised.2 glasses of fizz thank you..Well it was a Bank Holiday Friday..
We opted for Thai Fish Cakes and Beer battered Prawn Lollipops. Both were beautifully presented and delicious with their Chilli dipping sauce.
Fillet Steak, cooked perfectly as requested, then followed,as did a classic burger(thankfully simpler than the current trend)and both were thoroughly enjoyed.
Cocktails signified a short break in proceedings,as we chose our desserts.
We were then treated to some theatre.Peach Melba Mess and the Affogato with its syringe to inject the Vanilla Ice Cream, both made us smile and completed a wonderful 3 course meal.
Great service throughout, another LV facet, completed our enjoyment over our 2 hour stay.
So as the Living Ventures machine rolls on with its growing variety of brands across the city centre and South Manchester, the Alchemist Spinningfields remains one of those 'musts' we mentioned earlier. There is just more of it to enjoy...
