Steak and Lobster has been on our foodie radar for sometime now and we just had not got round to visiting the latest restaurant at Manchester's Radisson Hotel. When the chance came for us to review the restaurant we jumped at it. We had made our booking for 6.30pm but after a hectic day we were running late but this did not phase the waiter who greeted us at the door.

His welcome was warm and friendly and within in seconds we felt at ease and the stress of rushing to get there had gone. We sat at a lovely window table and our waiter gave us a run through of the menu and also the back story to the brand. I have to say that for a Monday night, the restaurant was busy with tables of four and two as well as a table of eighteen.

My partner and I had turned the night into our date night so we had a enjoyed a fine bottle of Merlot which we started as we read the menu. When it came to ordered our waiter knew exactly what to recommend and really helped us choose well.

Our starters arrived and we were really impressed but the chicken frites and the lobster and prawn cakes. They both were really tasty and they came with lovely dips too. For the main course I have the lobster which I chose to have steamed and my partner had the steak.

We sampled each others and it is fair to say that both were fantastic, cooked to perfection with wonderful flavours. At the end of our meal we were offered coffee and desserts but there just was not enough room.

The restaurant is lovely, being in the stunning hotel gives you the wow factor as you walk in. All of the team are friendly and knowledgeable about the brand and the menu. I cannot recommend the restaurant enough and we look forward to revisiting very soon.
