Beeswing at Kampus

Beeswing at Kampus

We sat in glorious sunshine. Add, classic elegance and delicious wine; how absolutely perfect. Well, it's even better now, there's great food to go with it. I was lucky enough to get an invitation from a friend to try the new summer menu at Beeswing and like the wine, the food is excellent with an Israeli twist.

We had 4 dishes accompanied by a crisp sparkling Rosé. Each dish was a tasteof the Med’ with hits of middle eastern flavours and one of my favourites and I think, underrated cuisines, Israeli.

Then, we had the MergusezSausage Cassoulet. It is made with beef sausage which is a great alternative to the classic pork. The dish was creamy like a French cassoulet and served with a fresh tomato salad.Spiced up by Zhug to give it that Middle Eastern flavour. It was excellent on a hot day.

The Lamb Koftasmelted in the mouth and were cooked to perfection. Served with an Israeli chopped salad, the perfect accompaniment to Kofta to balance the meat punch.

Now hummus, is perfect for a hot day. I always keep a pot in the fridge. Well, for anyone, who eats a lot of it, the Beeswing Hummus with Focaccia, was so fresh, then topped with bean salad. The perfect dish to bring a taste of Israel to Manchester.

We also enjoyed a hot, crunchy potato with cauliflower purèe. We felt that it shouldn't go with Israeli cuisine but it did. We really enjoyed it and so worth ordering.

Definitely recommended. If you go, Jess and the team will take care of you. They will help you choose the perfect wine and dishes, which are very well-balanced for the summer.

Holders of a Canal St Card will also enjoy a 10% discount on every visit here too.
