Volunteer for GHT
World AIDS Day is a global health day held on the 1st December each year. It's an opportunity for us to unite in the fight against HIV, support people living with HIV and remember people who have lost their lives to HIV/AIDS.
Manchester World AIDS Partnership brings together key organisations across the City, to mark World AIDS Day each year.
We want every Manchester resident to be HIV aware.
Being HIV aware means:
Knowing the facts about HIV
Challenging HIV stigma and discrimination
If you're sexually active, testing regularly for HIV
As a volunteer you'll be raising HIV awareness and raising funds for local charities. All the money collected will go directly to George House Trust's Welfare Fund for people living with HIV and to support the Lesbian and Gay Foundation's HIV prevention work. Just giving a couple of hours of your time will make a real difference to people's lives in Manchester. You'll also increase your own knowledge about HIV, your confidence about talking to the public and working together with others.
