Stephen Bailey live at The Lowry
Stephen Bailey Should’ve Been A Popstar
As seen on Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit on the Side Amused Moose Comedy Award (Best Show) 2015 - Nominee
Riding on from the success of last year’s show, Manchester-born, Stephen Bailey comes home for the first time with his critically acclaimed show Should’ve Been A Popstar at The Lowry on Wednesday 16th March
Stephen adds his sass and charm to stories of finding himself in his journey of self-discovery. Think less early Noughties Popstar and more finding his X Factor. His latest show sees him open up about his conviction and finally finding that confidence within himself to finally be who he is - all done with a wink, a smile and a bellyful of laughs. From a young, ginger, closeted teen with a lisp (and an evil speech therapist) to a black belt in Tae Kwon-Do. Stephen says it’s a-ok to find your inner Caitlyn Jenner.
Stephen has been seen on many a stage around the UK. In 2014, he performed to a sold-out crowd in London’s West End for Stand-up for Shelter alongside Stewart Lee and Sean Hughes as well as performing at Latitude Festival. Stephen also had the privilege of selected to MC Stonewall’s 25th Birthday party, hosting the evening and introducing Beverley Knight. 2015 and 2016 has seen him carry on this success as he supported Katherine Ryan on her UK Spring tour.
His TV credits include appearing on Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit on the Side as well as being the warm-up artist for Loose Women, Let’s Lunch with Gino and Mel & Vicious (ITV). As a writer, Stephen has contributed articles to Attitude and Live Manchester and has also taken part in debates for the Huffington Post, New York.
