Skins return for 11th year in Manchester
Oi-Manchester – The Evolution.
Manchester Gay Skins is now in it’s 11th year, and the longest running Gay Skinhead event in the UK. It is a non-political, non-racist group originally founded in 2005. This year has marked a revitalised and rebranded weekend, with some new events and venues included.
We will be raising money again for George House Trust with a sponsored skinhead shave at Alert! on the Friday night, as well as a raffle on the Saturday night, and on Sunday afternoon Manchester's very own Sister Jacqui Moff will be holding a skinhead version of Porno Bingo, called Skingo!
On the Friday will be the welcome meet and registration at Rem Bar, with Alert following afterwards.
We have a marketplace on Saturday at the basement of Sackville Lounge, one of our new official venues, Skinhead Picnic in the Park in Sackville Gardens, and Oi-Ska! at another of our new official venues, Company Bar.
Saturday night will continue with an exclusive event at the Black Eagle. Sunday hangovers will be cured by the brunch from The Lodge, and then the Eagle is opening from midday on Sunday to host Skingo, before the regular afternoon cabaret at the Eagle with Vicky Vivacious as the guest. Then Sunday afternoon final farewell drinks at Rem Bar.
The website contains all the information about the events for the weekend, and also advice on preferred hotels & restaurants for the weekend, as well as some travel information and links. It also includes all the addresses for the venues, and contact information for advice.
