Say What

Say What

Say What. An evening with Peter Tatchell.

For the inaugural Say What? we were delighted to host the best selling novelist Matt Haig. For our second event we have the honour of presenting the human rights activist Peter Tatchell. He will be discussing his 46 years as a campaigner.

2013 is the 30th anniversary of the notorious Bermondsey by-election, in which Tatchell stood against the Lib Dem Simon Hughes, and found himself subjected to unprecedented vilification on account of his sexuality. This experience inspired his subsequent work as a radical activist.

We will be discussing his campaigns - including of course his attempt to perform a citizens arrest on Robert Mugabe.

Peter Tatchell is one of the most esteemed polits,Deansgate,Manchester.ical figures in the UK. His tireless dedication to human rights has been an inspiration to us all. Even his most steadfast enemies are in awe of him. You simply can not ignore this man.
