Sapphormation 2014
November 2014 sees the return of Manchester’s Sapphormation Festival, for Women Who Love Women….
Now in its third year The Sapphormation Festival is a two day event of activity, discussion, live events and good food taking place on 1st and 2nd November. This year’s theme is ‘Breaking the mould’ and provides a welcoming and eclectic space to try out new things and explore key issues and ideas relevant to women today. Highlights of the event include a panel discussion on the theme of ‘Mad, Bad and Dangerous?'; film showings; workshops; storytelling; poetry; arts tent and Rapture Club night. The heart and home of the festival is the Joyce Layland LGBT Centre close to Manchester City Centre. The Sidney St Cafe will offer a great range of food all day on Saturday. Sapphormation Sports day is delivered by the Women’s Adventure Club with Sidney St Café offering a BBQ during this event. Booking essential at http://goo.gl/PjhneX

What makes this event exciting?
Each year Sapphormation Festival brings something new and different and aims to offer something that all women who love women can get involved with. The panel discussion and workshops offer good thinking space; the arts tent and poetry segments encourage creativity to flow; Sunday’s activities add a bit of physical challenge and fun and the cafe space provides hearty food and hearty chatter. Sapphormation brings together a wonderful Sapphic mix of workshops and activities for women who love to talk, meet, enjoy culture and feel part of something bigger. Sapphormation is a project of The Empowerment People. All ages welcome. Suitable for women who love women* (*Includes trans women who identify as women who love women. Children welcome to the entertainment events in the day provided they are supervised by a responsible adult)
