Spanish Festival for Manchester

In September, Manchester says "hola" to the first ever Spanish Festival offering something for the whole family. Friday 5th September sees the Iberian Peninsula come to Manchester City Centre as Albert Square is transformed into a Spanish Fiesta with the launch of Festejar.

Festejar means to celebrate in Spanish and the festival will definitely be a cause to celebrate for the entire family. For 3 days, Albert Square is transformed into a bustling festival hub with live music, Spanish street food, language classes and much more.

From Friday 5th September, bands from Spain including singer lza and YouTube favourite Pol 3.14 (both making their Manchester debut) will get the party started supported by Spanish groups based here in Manchester such as Alonso D. Supported by the Instituto Cervantes, visitors to Festejar can sample Spanish cuisine, learn some Spanish or even take part in flamenco demos followed by an evening of live music as the festival brings the very best of Spanish culture to the city.

Festejar runs from Friday 5th September to Sunday 7th September, 2014. For details of the entire programme and other festival events and information visit: www.spanishfestival.co.uk.
