Skip the mainstream Pride-machine this August as Manchester’s premiere cabaret night brings you an alternative Pride party with an amazing mix of alt-drag, comedy, music, DJs, dancing and karaoke.

Performers include Kamikaze Karaoke with the queen of Manchester's drag-scene, Sheela Blige; the imperial opulence of Grace Oni Smith; debauched drag anarchy from Tilly Skreams;  black-leather banshee, Pam Van Damned; salacious and satirical country & western from Bushpig; avant-garde performance from Jade Montserrat, and a special guest appearance from the sensational anti-drag queen, David Hoyle.

Plus, a red-hot DJ set from The Niallist (Tranarchy / CVNT TRAXXX) to keep your feet moving, and our own long-lallied drag clown hostess Mrs JonJo taking the reigns for Mother's first foray into the Roadhouse.

“Mother's Ruin has happened in lots of great theatres over the past 4 years,” says Artistic Director, Lisa Lee “but we want to give our audience something new and support artists who've emerged from club environments. That's why we're taking over the Roadhouse, and we're bringing a cabaret party atmosphere with us.”

The event is part of the Queer Alt. Manchester collective of events that seeks to give an alternative to the walled-off Pride celebrations held in the village over the Bank Holiday Weekend. All of the events are organised by independent promoters, no wrist-band is needed to gain access and all profits from the nights go back into supporting charitable causes, so you'll be supporting Manchester's progressive DIY scene.

The gloves are off; Mother is tearing the Bank Holiday Weekend a new one. After all, Mother knows best.
