Queer review at Band on the Wall
A Queer Revue! at Band On The Wall
A Queer Revue! is a brand new showcase of talent from Manchester’s infamous and thriving Queer underground, taking place at the historic Band On The Wall venue on Great Ancoats Street. Inspired by events like Manchester’s Club Brenda and London’s Duckie, A Queer Revue! mixes short film, pop-up poetry, drag performers, dancers and DJs from some of Manchester’s best Queer Alt parties for a heady mix of LGBT+ entertainment. If you’ve never tried Manchester’s Queer alternative nightlife before it’s the perfect way to sample some of the best happenings under one roof.
The first outing will be soundtracked by DJs from Bollox, Cha Cha Boudoir and Off The Hook and will feature star turns from drag idols Anna Phylactic and Lill, plus dance performances from Joshua Hubbard, Tom Kuzniar and FlexN’s Yandass. The glamourous hostess for the evening is Tranarchy and television icon, Joyce D’Vision. Watch out for themed cocktails, short films and telephone poetry in the adjacent Picturehouse Bar before the main festivities kick off in the glorious main room – and all for just six quid!
Welcome to Queer Manchester… let’s make a big song and dance about it…!
