Rainbow Flag Award for Schools

We can't begin to tell you how thrilled we are at The Proud Trust to have been successful in a recent bid to grow our training and education offer. The Department for Education initiative, funded by the Government Equalities Office, will enable us to work with many more schools to develop strategies for combating homophobic, biphobic and transphobic (HBT) bullying.

Alongside our LGBT youth organisation friends from Allsorts (Brighton), SexYOUality (Cambridge) and DISC (Durham) we will be launching our Rainbow Flag Award scheme, where schools will have to undertake a variety of tasks to ensure LGBT inclusion in their schools.

Do you know a school - primary or secondary - that could benefit from some targeted work in this area? If, so, then please nominate them by return email with a short description as to why you think they may benefit from a variety of interventions which could include teacher training, policy support, curriculum and pastoral guidance or pupil voice programmes.
