CALLING ALL GRAPHIC DESIGNERS… MANCHESTER PRIDE NEEDS YOUR HELP
Manchester Pride is in search of a new brand identity for 2011.
The festival, which celebrates its 21st birthday next year, is calling on creative graphic designers to come up with the official branding concept for Manchester Pride’s biggest coming of age party.
The chosen design will be used on all promotional material surrounding Manchester Pride 2011. This includes the branding of the main stage, which this year attracted artists such as Kelis, Chicane and Beverley Knight.
Jackie Crozier, festival director of Manchester Pride, said: “Next year is going to be really exciting for us as we celebrate our 21st birthday. We’ll be looking for a distinctive design that captures the spirit and essence of Manchester Pride and we would encourage all entries to be as creative and as innovative as possible.”
As well as seeing their designs used to promote the festival, the winner will receive £500 and two VIP tickets for the festival’s Big Weekend at the end of August. There may also be opportunities for the winner to develop an ongoing working relationship with Manchester Pride.
This competition is open to both professional and student designers.
The deadline for applications is Friday 21 January. The winner will be announced on Friday 28 January. For full details on how to apply, check out: www.manchesterpride.com
