Pink Picnic returns for 2017
After a year out due to the redevelopment of Peel Park, The Pink Picnic, Salford’s annual Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT+) Pride event returns in July 2017.
The Pink Picnic, now in it’s seventh year, has grown from strength to strength by encouraging community cohesion whilst promoting equality and acceptance. The Pride event see’s the LGBT+ community turn the park pink for a day of celebrating everything LGBT.
The Pink Picnic, held in Salford, incorporates live performances and entertainment on the main stage and stalls showcasing organisations and businesses from across Greater Manchester. There is also a bar for the adults, competitions on the day and a selection of children’s activities for those LGBT+ families with children who can bring them along. The event is free and welcomes all to attend to enjoy the day.
The planning of the 2017 Pink Picnic is well underway and this year with a fresh logo and change of location in the park. The event will return with a bang and will be bigger, better and more fabulous.
