Pink Closet Tour Round Greater Manchester to Mark International Coming Out Day
Leading charity The Lesbian & Gay Foundation are calling on people to mark International Coming Out Day on Thursday 11th October. The day highlights the support that is available and encourages the general public to ‘come out’ in support of others to make coming out as lesbian, gay or bisexual that little bit easier.
To celebrate Coming Out Day, The Lesbian & Gay Foundation will be providing 24 hour support from midnight on the 10th October to midnight on the 11th October, for those who are questioning, thinking of coming out, or for those who are out and proud and need to talk.
A pink closet will also be travelling around the 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester for people to ‘come out’ in support for LGB people on the following dates in October;
Monday 8th;
10am – 12pm Trafford; 1 – 3pm Salford City Reds Rugby Stadium; 4 – 6pm Wigan
Tuesday 9th;
10am – 12pm Bolton; 1 – 3pm Bury; 4 – 6pm Rochdale
Wednesday 10th;
10am – 12pm Oldham; 1 – 3pm Tameside; 4 – 6pm Stockport
Thursday 11th;
3 – 10pm Canal Street, Manchester
