Nobel Prize Disco
Drag artistes and young vogue dancers perform at Nobel Prize Disco for Manchester Science Festival
To celebrate Manchester as the home of the Nobel Prize-winning graphene team, Manchester Science Festival is throwing a big old disco party inside their awesome Revolution Gallery on Friday October 28th.
The theme is the Nobel Prize of course, which means inspired music choices from DJ Greg Thorpe of Drunk At Vogue with unique drag performances from some of the leading #ManchesterQueens as Grace Oni Smith and Lill of Cha Cha Boudoir and the Family Gorgeous each bring a radical drag twist to what you think you know about the Nobel Prize!
On top of that there will be a breathtaking performance from two of the city’s most exciting young dancers, Sista Hood. The dancers are two real life sisters who belong to Manchester’s talented upcoming Vogue family, the House of Ghetto, and who premiered their work at the recent Black Gold Arts Festival. This is fierce Northern vogue at its finest!
The spectacular Revolution Gallery inside the Museum of Science and Industry will be transformed into a one-night-only pop-up club space, complete with awesome lights and sound-system, a bar, and Nobel Prize graphics and trivia popping up on the multi-screen visual gallery display.
Dressing up in Nobel Prize-inspired costume is definitely encouraged, otherwise come for a cocktail and a dance inside one of the city’s most unique spaces and enjoy the show! Only a fiver in all night.
Fri 28 Oct, Museum of Science and Industry, Liverpool Rd, Castlefield, M3 4FP, 10pm–2am, Tickets CLICK BELOW.
