More Corriefest

Corriefest is coming on Sunday, 12th December to the Lass O'Gowrie in Manchester!

Coronation Street is 50 on December 9th and we really can’t let that go unrecognised! Intended as the showpiece of a week-long celebration of this true northern institution, Corriefest is a one day Corrie convention to be held in one of Manchester’s iconic pubs.

For the whole of Sunday, 12th December from 9:45am, the Lass O’Gowrie will play host to a day of events celebrating Corrie throughout the past five decades. We'll have interviews, drama re-enactments of classic scenes, screenings of classic episodes and plenty of gossip in the Snug. Guests confirmed include, Phil Collinson (Coronation Street Producer), June West (Coronation Street Casting Director), Graeme Harper (Director of the big tram crash eps) and representatives of the wardrobe department showcasing costimers both classic and contemporary.

Tickets cost £9.95 a head and are available from http://www.wegottickets.com/event/98900 or on the door.  All profits from ticket sales will be split equally between the Teenage Cancer Trust Unit at Christie Hospital; and the Lesbian & Gay Foundation (www....lgf.org.uk).

More info is available at www.thelass.co.uk or at the facebook group - http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=111483848913418
