STARS LINE UP FOR LGBT BENEFIT

Rebecca Ferguson and Lucy Spraggan Perform To Manchester’s Finest At Manchester Pride Spring Benefit

The Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) event of the year, the Manchester Pride Spring Benefit, returned for a second time with a brand new venue and a line-up of class acts.

This year’s fundraiser, which was hosted at Victoria Warehouse Hotel last night, saw guests entertained by Liverpool songstress Rebecca Ferguson and acoustic, folk singer and former X-Factor contestant Lucy Spraggan, plus local performer Dean Mac.

In addition to the fabulous entertainment, guests including Corrie stars Debbie Rush, Mikey North, Sair Khan and Bruno Langley, were invited to make their way down the red carpet to a sparkling drinks reception in the illustrious Bays Brick Bar. They enjoyed a champagne reception, three course meal and auction with lots including dinner with the cast of Corrie, a luxury yacht and a box at the Manchester Arena for Lionel Ritchie!

The gala event was sponsored by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Manchester dealership. As part of the sponsorship package, Rolls-Royce provided a fleet of luxury bespoke cars to drive VIP guests to and from the Manchester Pride fundraiser. This included a flamboyant purple Wraith which will was also on display for guests to enjoy throughout the night.  The company also be provided a range of money-can’t-buy prizes which were auctioned off on the night including a Rolls-Royce chauffeur driven experience.

Mark Fletcher, Chief Executive at Manchester Pride, said: “What a night! We are delighted to have hosted such a brilliant night at The Bays Victoria Warehouse Hotel and to have raised so much money for LGBT causes. Rebecca and Lucy stole the show but we couldn’t have done it without our fantastic guests who were unbelievably generous.”

The Manchester Pride Spring Benefit exists to raise money for the Manchester Pride Community Fund.  Integral to creating and sustaining a vibrant community, this fund provides crucial support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and HIV charities and organisations in Greater Manchester.
