Award-winning singer, songwriter, and Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm, better known as Melanie C, is one of the UK’s best-loved performers. In a UK Pride event exclusive, presented by G-A-Y, the singer who has released seven solo albums will take to the festival’s "The Thomas Cook Airlines USA Stage” over the August bank holiday weekend.

2015 The X Factor winner Louisa Johnson was the programme's youngest winner, with Simon Cowell naming her as the best singer he'd ever seen on the show. Plus Finnish pop singer, songwriter and voice actress Saara Sofia Aalto was runner-up in

English fashion consultant, author and television presenter Gok Wan is trying his hand at something completely different in 2017 as he turns 90’s deep house and reggae DJ! The LGBT icon who is famed for showing people how to look good naked will now be showing them how to look good on the dance floor!

Hercules and Love Affair vocalist and fashion icon Shaun J. Wright is featured on several acclaimed releases with Stereogamous, Bell Boys, Bobmo, Kiki, Alinka, and System of Survival and he is now exhilarating dance floors worldwide as a DJ.

The Manchester Pride Festival, which comprises The Manchester Pride Parade, The Big Weekend and The Candlelit Vigil, will this year take place between Friday 25 to Monday 28 August. Tens of thousands of people from across the UK and Europe flock to Manchester’s world-renowned Gay Village for the event and to watch the parade.

Pre-registration for The Big Weekend 2017 is now open and those who sign up before midnight Thursday 26th January will be entered into a draw to win a three night trip to San Francisco Pride, courtesy of The Big Weekend headline sponsors Thomas Cook Airlines and Manchester Airport.

Tickets will be on sale from 9am on Friday 27th January. Weekend tickets will be available for £20.

In 2016 Manchester Pride raised a record breaking £149,000 and attracted acts and appearances from a range of artists, including Will Young, Fleur East, MNEK, Shura, Judge Jules and Groove Armada.
