With an amazing line-up of world-renowned authors, exclusive performances of specially commissioned work, bespoke walking tours, topical debates and new writing showcases, Manchester is the destination of choice for LGBT literature lovers this October.
Award-wining writers Patrick Gale and Catherine Hall discuss their latest novels, Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy performs with poetry band Little Machine. Kei Miller performs new poems written in response to the forthcoming Hockney to Hogarth exhibition at the Whitworth Art Gallery, the nation’s favourite broadcaster Clare Balding shares anecdotes from her new memoir My Animals and other Famil.

Jackie Kay unveils a brand new short story over afternoon tea at the Midland Hotel, Ali Smith delivers the 3rd Manchester Sermon at the Cathedral, Jeanette Winterson and AM Homes discuss gender and the imagination, and, writer of the award-winning TV film Beautiful Thing, Jonathan Harvey launches his new novel All She Wants with support from Manchester Lesbian and Gay Chorus.
