LGBT footie for Manchester
After extensive voting through out its membership the 2013 Gay Football Supporters Network's annual get-together will be held in Manchester (for the first time in 13 years!).
This event brings together all strands of the GFSN. It exists as an organisation to:
1 Adminster a league run for the benefit of LGBT friendly football teams to provide an environment where gay footballers can enjoy competitive football and where people who might be intimidated at the thought of possible homophobia can enjoy the beautiful game without fear of being victimised.
2 Facilitate the coming together of LGBT lovers of football to support teams, both professional and amateur and make sure that everyone has fun enjoying football wherever and whenever it takes place
3 To provide a voice for the LGBT community within the game and lobby on its members behalf on issues that concern them
Manchester's gay team Village Manchester FC have made all arragements for the tournament and will be competing as defending champions having won last years tournament in Glasgow. We all have our fingers crossed that Manchester can roll out the sunshine and the Village rolls out the red carpet for all our guests
