Lesbians for IVF

Lesbians for IVF

lesbian couples can now get fertility treatment on the NHS.

It has been announced that lesbians and older women can get IVF with the taxpayer footing the bill. Before women over 40 did not qualify and neither did same sex couples; having to save up their pennies and pay privately.

There was a fear that the health service would not be able to provide the services due to budgets being cut and not having the money to do it but now even lesbians with proven infertility will get the free IVF. If they fail to conceive after 12 cycles of artificial insemination they will then be able to have three cycles of IVF funding.

Official figures show that in the past decade, a total of 4,899 children have been born following fertility treatment either to single women or lesbian couples.

The number of these births has gone up dramatically since the law was changed back in 2008 causing an outbreak of protests.

So gay women will hopefully be able to get married very soon and from today have free IVF to start their own family. The news just keeps getting better.

Thanks to our friends at G3.
