Lesbians and obesity podcast interview

A new study in the United States has found that gay women are almost twice as likely to be overweight than heterosexual women.

And now researchers at Vederbilt School of Nursing are using a lesbian weight loss group in Atlanta as a model for finding ways of targeting obesity among gay women in the rest of the country.

Associate Professor of Nursing Sarah Fogel has been telling BBC Radio Manchester's Gay Hour programme what is so special about this particular group of women.
