Dust off those law books and grab your sorority sisters – for the first time ever the award-winning West End and Broadway show Legally Blonde the Musical is heading for Manchester, for 2 weeks only!

Based on the hit movie starring Reese Witherspoon, this critically-acclaimed new musical tells the tale of college sweetheart and homecoming queen Elle Woods, who doesn’t take no for an answer.

So when her boyfriend Warner dumps her for someone serious, Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books and heads for Harvard Law School accompanied by her loveable Chihuahua, Bruiser.

Legally Blonde the Musical takes audiences from the social whirl of California campus life to Harvard’s halls of justice and the verdict? This much fun shouldn’t be legal!

Starring Manchester’s Faye Brookes (Grease)  as Elle, Iwan Lewis (Fame, Passion)  as Emmet, Claire Sweeney (Chicago, Guys & Dolls) as Paulette, Neil Toon (Hollyoaks, Hairspray) as Warner and Dave Willets (Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables) as Professor Callahan,  this all singing, all dancing, feel-good musical comedy looks set to be the most fashionable ticket in town.

Created by a first class creative team, led by Tony Award-winning director and Olivier Award-nominated choreographer Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray ), Legally Blonde the Musical won Best New Musical in the Whatsonstage.com Awards 2011, and was nominated for five Olivier Awards, going on to win Best New Musical, Best Actress for Sheriden Smith and Best Supporting Role in a Musical for co-star Jill Halfpenny.

Legally Blonde on tour is produced by Howard Panter for Ambassador Theatre Group, Bill Kenwright, Tulchin/Bartner Productions,  Jamie Hendry Productions in association with MGM ON STAGE, Darcie Denkert and Dean Stolber and with associate producers Rupert Gavin for Incidental Colman and Amy Anzel.

Howard Panter, joint Chief Executive of Ambassador Theatre Group said: “Ambassador Theatre Group’s co-production of Legally Blonde The Musical is enjoying great success on the West End and it has now been decided to take it out on its first ever UK tour so regional audiences who can’t make it to London can experience this fantastic show. I am sure people will take Elle Woods to their hearts and have a fabulous night out.”
