Meet Matthew Bourne

Matthew Bourne is widely hailed as the UK’s most popular and successful Choreographer/Director. He is the creator of the world’s longest running ballet production, a five-time Olivier Award winner, and the only British director to have won the Tony Award for both Best Choreographer and Best Director of a Musical.

A unique opportunity to meet Matthew is also available ‘In Conversation with Matthew Bourne’ on Wednesday 21 March allows ticketholders to watch the matinee performance of NUTCRACKER! followed by afternoon tea with an intimate Q&A session to discover more about ‘the undisputed king of dance theatre’. There is also the chance to discover the wider work of The Lowry, meet their Youth Dance Ambassadors and enjoy an exclusive performance by students from The Lowry’s pioneering Centre for Advanced Training in Dance (CAT) which seeks to nurture aspiring young talent.
