Impressive line up for LGBT history debate
How do you begin researching LGBT history in the military when it has been so well hidden?
Join Dr Emma Vickers (senior lecturer at John Moores University) and Dr Jo Stanley (Curator of the Hello Sailor exhibition) to explore how we can research LGBT history during a time when homosexuality was still illegal in the Armed Forces.
Professional historians will speak about their own research within the field, and share tips and advice on how you can begin investigating this concealed LGBT history.
There will be a Q&A discussion with several veterans who identity as LGBT.
