Happy 13 for Taurus

Canal St Online congratulates Taurus Bar on its landmark 13th Birthday.

Launching in 2001 when most of the current venues either didnt exist or where then called something else,Taurus quickly established itself as a favourite with dozens of LGBT groups and Charities from the region.

Many of them are still supporters of the venue today and have loyally done so over the years.

Co-owner Mike (Polly) Pollard said 'When we opened all those years ago,with debt up to our eyes,we had no idea what to expect.Although we have weathered some pretty rough times over those years,we have enjoyed many memorable times with our loyal,fun crowd and we must thank them all for that.As to the future?No one ever really knows,but we remain commintted to our format and hope to look after our customers for the next 13 years'

The next major Taurus event is Miss Taurus.
