Since moving to Barcelona 13 years ago, Mark has worked with many of the country's coolest electronic music brands such as Blanco y Negro Records (A&R with Vendetta Records), Loca FM (Broadcaster) & Pacha Sitges playing regularly at the first ever Pacha in the world for 5 years.
Mark has extensive experience on radio, digital rights management and music publishing. Also, he has a few year's experience in representing or managing artists like Matt Samuels (now at Toolroom), Kaysee (Subliminal, Los40s), Lenny Fontana (Defected) or Andrew Ga...lea (The Freestylers) during that time.
More recently, Mark was label manager at Sintetics Digital, a label consistently delivering top-quality underground techno under head-honcho Javi Lago and supported by DJs like Laurent Garnier, Luciano, Marco Carola or Paco Osuna.
Before Sintetics, he began a record label with Slovenian DJ and producer, Girandon, called Radioactivity Productions featuring himself, Girandon, Tony Thomas, Dani Sbert & Rob Small on the artists roster with tracks that are still available on digital download stores today.
Mark has also released tracks & co-productions on Tony Thomas' imprint Progress Records and remixed techno legend Devilfish on Barcelona's Ahoren Music with production partner Teysel.
He is currently Nightlife editor of Barcelona's leading English language magazine, Barcelona Connect, and contributes to the Sun UK's Clubz section, recently interviewing Jean Michel Jarre, Billy Nasty and covering Barcelona's infamous Sonar festival for the newspaper.
DJ Mark J has headlined at events in 7 different countries and has supported some of the world's finest electronic music artists including Agoria, Justin Robertson, Silicone Soul, Alan Fitzpatrick, Vince Watson, Ben Sims, Stanton Warriors, John Jacobsen, Funk D'Void, Tony Verdi, Mikel Molina, Cipy, Triumph, Parks n' Wilson, King Unique, Devilfish to name just a few in his 22 years behind the decks.
