Crunch update

The secrets of life after Crunch are starting to come out.  The image of a pink monkey in a black box has been released and it is confirmed that this is the logo for the new venture that will replace Crunch.
 
The operators said:  “Crunch has the “pacman” symbol, the new venue will have the monkey, it important that a venue has an instantly recognisable symbol associated with it, and after a lot of “monkeying” around and our aim to evolve the venue we decided on the monkey, we love our pink monkey.”
 
It was announced earlier this year that Crunch would be closing for good.  The operators have said it is time to look to evolve the venue.   Crunch will shut in May for several weeks, whilst extensive works are undertaken but will reopen for the end of May bank holiday – the operators have said that the venue as it is will not be recognisable.

The operators said:  “We love the gay village and what is symbolises.  These are tough economic times, and we want to assure the Manchester’s gay, bi and trans population that there is still investment coming into the village, and following several good refurbs over the past couple years, we are keen to still lead the way.
 It is important that venues keep up with market trends and demand.  There is still room for improvement in our village, we are pleased that we will lead the way again.  This is what keeps our village fresh and keeps people coming back to it.”

The Crunch staff met for 3 hours last week where they discussed in great detail life after Crunch, whilst the Crunch staff have been sworn to secrecy for the majority of what they know, they are allowed to provide some details, so if you want to know more, you can always try get them to open up.

The operators keep referring to the new venture as “Life after Crunch” – is this a hint of the new name?
