FLOORPLAN COLLECTIVE EXHIBITION: 4 PICCADILLY PLACE
4th -14th October Opening times below

Ten artists collaborate on a multi-media show; including photography, digital interaction, sculpture, dance and assembled articles. All of the work is based around the theme of 'change'. This is particularly significant when considering the state of social and economic upheaval taking place globally. Each artist has responded to the theme in their own unique way.

MICHAEL FOWDREY
Slam
A study in digital interaction using a domestic telephone as a starting point.

JOHN LYNCH
Mykelldiche
This work is a reference to and a reflection on the ancient South Manchester earthwork now called The Nico Ditch located in Platt Fields park.

SAFFINA BHATTI
The Sleeper Has Awoken
A collection of several sculptural works taken from casts of the human figure, this work explores the hidden and later seen change in an individual.

SUE ROWLANDS
This piece is a response to the history of the site of Piccadilly Place and its surroundings and makes reference to the archaeological work carried out by Oxford Archaeology North.

REBECCA LONG AND CAMERON MUIR
Everything within reach
This piece made of various materials; including charcoal, tobacco, cotton, gem stones, batteries, nails and drill bits, will also reference crude oil.

ROGER BYGOTT
Interspace Changes
An installation of around 5,000 photocopied reproductions of a series of line drawings that will be arranged in relation to the other artists work and will be predominantly on the floor. The theme concerns dance, a choreography of paper, and an exploration of a 2D floor-space in the context of a 3D exhibition space.

SEAN KENNEDY
A City United
This piece is a set of photographic prints of areas of Manchester City Centre from the 19th Century up to the 1960s where the images have been recreated exactly but with today’s skyline. The original images will overlay them as a projection and represent the changes in time, not just with the architecture but within its people and their approach and acceptance of one another.

The exhibition is based at number 4 Piccadilly Place, Manchester and runs from the 4th to the 14th of October.
