The Sparkle Weekend - 10th Anniversary 2014

Sparkle the National Transgender Celebration - a weekend festival held every July, in the Gay Village Manchester. This year is very special as we are celebrating 10 years of Sparkle. To mark this amazing anniversary Sparkle in the Park will be taking place on the Saturday and Sunday this year. We are hoping this will be the biggest and best Sparkle festival to date so please come and join in the celebrations as together we share pride in our trans-identity!

Sparkle is open to everyone who sees themselves as Transgender (and their friends and families). We accept the differing aspirations and needs of the various people within our community, but invite all to come together and share our celebration. Every TG person has a place at Sparkle and a warm welcome is on offer to all! It is our chance to be proud of who we are and show the world what being TG is all about.

Coleen is the perfect addition to the judging panel with her down to earth charm and wit she will bring a new dimension to the judging panel and with her no-nonsense advice through her column in the Daily Mirror she has advised many trans* people and families of Trans* people on where to gain advice and support

Best Selling Author – No Regrets (autobiography) Agony Aunt – Daily Mirror – TV Presenter – Loose Women – Recording Artist – Nolan Sisters.

Coleen Nolan – “To be approached to be a Judge at Sparkle is a tremendous honour, I have many letters from Trans* people and always try to offer some advice and guidance on how to find support and live an honest fulfilled life. Sparkle is another event that show the amazing diversity of Manchester’s Gay Village and I am sure we are going to have lots of fun”
