Charles Busch Exclusive Interview

Charles Busch is one of Broadway and Off Broadway's biggest stars and the shows have been delighted audiences for almost 30 years. His performances, as the leading lady, have won him a legion of fans, including the hard to impress New York Theatre critics.

Famous for taking old Hollywood Movie styles of the 40's 50's and 60's and paying homage to at the same time as sending them up has created smash hit after smash hit. These include Vampire Lesbians of Sodom, Die, Mommie, Die!, Psycho Beach Party, Lady in Question, Red Scare on Sunset and his current hit The Divine Sister running in New York.

The UK has never experienced a Charles Busch play, but all that is about to change as my company Vertigo Theatre Productions are presenting the professional UK Premiere productions of Die, Mommie, Die! and Psycho Beach Party.

These shows are being held at Taurus, on Canal Street, from the 16th to the 26th March as part of the Taurus 10th Anniversary celebrations and the full details are on the Taurus website.
