LGBT Rugby League has arrived in Manchester

After 9 months in the making Manchester Canalsiders are this weekend launching their club to nation. Although you will have heard about Canalsiders in the last few month's the club is finally about to start training at their new brand new home Belle Vue Leisure Centre in Longsight.

Canalsiders have Sky Sports filming & talking about Canalsiders & Rugby League & Diversity, on Sunday 21st April from 1130 at Belle Vue Leisure Centre for Boots 'n' All to be aired on 24th April at 6pm on Sky Sports 2. We would like to invite the members of the LGBT Community to come along and watch.

This will be their first training session on the new pitch, as well as the preview of their New Kit sponsored by LGBT Businesses from Manchester Gay Village including ROB Manchester. The Rem Bar, Vanilla, Eagle Bar, Gaydio, The Big Scrum & Salford City Reds Foundation.

Salford City Reds Players will also be at the event as well as members of the LGBT Business Community for what promises to be a momentous day for LGBT Rugby League in Manchester.

Canalsiders are holding a Learn to Play Rugby League course for 6 weeks starting on the 25th April, every Thursday 7pm – 9pm. This is in conjunction with Pride Sports & Pride Games 2013. The course is free to attend and we are "One Club for All & welcome players of all gender, ages & abilities, as well as new to rugby league".

Salford City Reds Foundation will be providing coaching to Manchester Canalsiders including training  some of the team as qualified coaches.
