Boys,Boys,Boys

A new exhibition exploring the link between image and sexuality will debut as part of the Manchester Pride Fringe Festival, launching one of the city's newest photography studios; Huntsman Studio.

'Boys, Boys, Boys' is the culmination of months of hard work of Ian Brooke, a portrait and fashion photographer from Salford. The exhibition, which is being held at Kraak Gallery in Manchester's Northern Quarter, aims to challenge the issue of homophobia and ask if this is a matter of opinion or because how people perceive one another.

"I don't honestly do not believe people care if you are gay this day in age we have acceptance in almost all parts of western society ie; People care more about what you look like, for instance, two gay guys walk down the street, one wears fabulous make-up, which one gets called a fag? " says Ian

"The work I undertake is different from the crowd, I would rather take a picture of a guy wearing a full face of make up than another guy with his top off, and this is how the idea for Boys Boys Boys came about."

Boys Boys Boys will run from Tuesday 21 August to Thursday 23 August, and is open to the public 10am to 5pm each day. Entry is free but donations for the Albert Kennedy Trust can be made on the door.

Ian is available for both private work and comissions either in his studio or location based. For more information please visit the Huntsman Studio website www.huntsmanstudio.co.uk/ or find him on Twitter @HuntsmanStudio.
