Beyond the Village People
It's back. Our annual gay pride / gay shame hoedown.
Taking over Factory for three floors of musical meldowns.
Featuring:
LITTLE BOOTS (DJ SET)
Just over two years ago we found out that our favourite synth popstrel is also a very good DJ. Mixing disco, italo, and melody-driven house, it's great to have her back.
CRAZY P SOUNDSYSTEM
Ain’t no party like a Crazy P party. Taking to the decks and the mic are Dani and Jim, blending disco, house and deep electronic throbs with soulful vocals.
SHAKE YER DIX
Shake Yer Dix is an electro/synth club night from East London, created in 2011 by Michael Kelly out of a need to dance to Vitalic and Digitalism somewhere other than his bedroom. With an ‘audacity of huge’ playlist of Tiga, CHVRCHES, Justice, Fischerspooner, The Knife, Ladytron etc, if it bleeps, he’ll play it.
LEGS AND COQ
Fresh from glamourising the NYC Downlow at Glastonbury we welcome Legs & Coq, a Pan’s People-esque dance troupe for the new millennium (only with a more body hair and glitter.) Bringing you fem realness from a time when a kick-ball-change was enough to get any man worked up.
TRASH-O-RAMA
They're back! They have been lost in space for the last year after being abducted by extraterrestrials. They return with a soundtrack influenced by their travels! Expect primitive sounds, mutant punkfunk, psychedelic dungeon disco and galactic electro along with their usual mash-up of rock n roll and queerbeat.
WILL TRAMP!
A HomoElectric party wouldn't be complete without Sir William of TRAMP! He'll be lugging his crate full of fist pumpers up to the loft, taking the room from ‘hot’ to ‘furnace’. Packing a spare t-shirt and deodorant is encouraged.
JAMIE BULL
Crack open the prosecco, it's poppers o'clock with Jamie and his ni-HRG 'n' disco buffet. He'll be working untold miracles with dramatic string sections and double handclaps.
Keep in touch with all things HomoElectric.
