Challenge Mulanje - Fundraising for Friends of Mulanje Orphans (FOMO)

Challenge Mulanje is an event to take place in Malawi in May 2009, raising much needed funds for Friends of Mulanje Orphans (FOMO) and has been created by NW businessman Dave Armstrong after taking part in Mission Malawi.

30 (brave) participants from the North West of England will fundraise and get fit for the challenge ahead. Challenge Mulanje hopes to raise over £75,000 and the proceeds will provide a purpose built skills centre, equipped to help orphans find work and support their future families.

If you are interested in taking part or assisting in any way, please visit www.challengemulanje.co.uk for further details.

"This trip in 2006 totally changed my life and I knew I had to do something else for the beautiful people of Malawi. Within weeks of my first trip to Malawi, I was back again, checking out the FOMO project and after another visit in 2007, I have designed this trip to give 30 people the opportunity to see for themselves the great work of FOMO, whilst raising much needed funds to build a brand new skills centre, whereby orphans can gather essential life skills, trades and knowledge to help them raise their families and help them fight a life of poverty". Dave Armstrong

Participants’ time raising awareness and funds in the UK is greatly appreciated. If you would like to take part in the event please contact Dave - dave@challengemulanje.co.uk.
