GMP Press job

We are currently recruiting for a full time Press Officer post.

You will keep the media informed about crimes, major incidents and GMP’s successes in fighting crime. You will deal with routine media inquiries, formulate media strategies, run press conferences, attend major incidents, deliver media training for officers and manage the media interest in sensitive and major investigations.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will need journalism, press office or public relations experience. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to deal with issues of a confidential nature.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an assessment prior to interview.
